Areas of care
Lymphatic Health
The lymphatic system quietly carries fluid, waste and immune cells around the body. When it is compromised — by surgery, illness, or a condition like lymphoedema or lipoedema — specialised, gentle care can support it in doing its job.

Lymphoedema
Lymphoedema is a condition of localised fluid retention and tissue swelling caused by a compromised lymphatic system. It needs ongoing, informed management — and you are the most important member of the team that manages it.

Lipoedema
Lipoedema is a chronic condition, occurring almost exclusively in women, marked by a symmetrical build-up of fatty tissue in the legs and sometimes the arms. It is frequently misdiagnosed — and it is not a failure of willpower.

Post-Surgical Swelling
Swelling is part of how the body responds to surgery. When it lingers, gentle lymphatic work may support the body in clearing it — at a stage when ordinary massage is not appropriate.

Complete Decongestive Therapy
Complete Decongestive Therapy is the internationally recognised, multi-part approach to managing lymphoedema — combining manual lymphatic drainage, compression, skin care and movement into one coordinated program.

The lymphatic system is a broad network of vessels and nodes that returns fluid from the body's tissues to the bloodstream, carrying metabolic waste and supporting immune function along the way. Unlike the heart-driven blood circulation, lymph relies on muscle movement and the gentle contraction of the vessels themselves — which is why it can fall behind after surgery, with limited mobility, or when the system itself is compromised.
Kylie has worked with lymphatic conditions for over three decades. She trained in the Dr Vodder Method of Manual Lymphatic Drainage to its highest level — in London in 1996 and at the Dr Vodder School in Walchsee, Austria in 1997 — and holds a Certificate of Currency in the Dr Vodder Method of Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy. She is a member of the Australasian Lymphology Association.
How care begins
Every lymphatic condition presents differently, so every plan starts with an Initial Assessment: a careful history, an examination of the tissue, and an honest conversation about what management can look like for you. From there, treatment sessions combine manual lymphatic drainage, low level laser, Hivamat deep oscillation, pneumatic compression and bandaging as your plan calls for.
A note on safety
Manual lymphatic drainage is not suitable for everyone. It may not be appropriate if you have an infection or inflammation in the swollen area, a blood clot, heart problems, or active cancer in the area. A doctor's letter is required for previous cancer patients within a five-year period of clearance. Kylie will go through this with you before any treatment begins.
